Ever since the early 2000’s I remember democratic candidates talking about good-paying union jobs in the environment and healthcare and infrastructure, but I fail to see that they have delivered on the promises. Yes, I know Republicans obstructed, but to me, these promises sound like a broken record. Do people actually buy these promises anymore? Anyone else worried that all this isn't going to be enough? The DNC so far has amounted to "vote for Biden because he isn't Trump and we all know how badly Trump dealt with COVID". There's not much here to sway someone who is good shirt undecided on who to vote.Antidepressants just never were enough .

How many more protesters can they shove into prisons? I doubt that the Nicolae Ceaușescu end scene would happen again. Only start paying attention to politics this election? Americans have been dining on Fox's vision of the world for over a decade. We got confirmation of how much of Trump's hate people were willing to accept four years ago. It's disgusting, but this isn't a new revelation. What's mystifying to me is how so many of my fellow liberals are surprised it's this close. I got into a conversation with these 30ish German guys who worked for a tech firm that did a bunch of development in the US. Since they were German, they had like 8 weeks of vacation.
