The world could use a lot more proper left wing figures right now, not just rich upper-class centrists with vested interests in corporations + who have no idea how to listen to the working class. But of course it’ll be easier to do this if we start by dethroning current right wingers like holding the same disgusting beliefs.

Government that actively hurts me and my family falls on deaf ears because at the end of the day these people are selfish and can't fathom a world where we do what's right for the good of the nation, but maybe that's the kind of mentality we need to work against. fox definitely enables that mindset, but that mindset will exists long after fox is gone. How many more protesters can they shove into prisons? I doubt that the Nicolae Ceaușescu end scene would happen again. Only start paying attention to politics this election? Americans have been dining on Fox's vision of the world for over a decade. We got confirmation of how much of Trump's hate people were willing to accept four years ago. It's disgusting, but this isn't a new revelation. What's mystifying to me is how so many of my fellow liberals are surprised it's this close. I got into a conversation with these 30ish German guys who worked for a tech firm that did a bunch of development in the US. Since they were German, they had like 8 weeks of vacation. They were interested to know my take on politics and whether I liked Trump.
