From my perspective, I have to hope that the majority of those voters are submitting a vote for Republican and not a vote for Trump. It's been a fact throughout time that rural citizens (e.g. farmers) don't care about who's on top, whether it be a president or a king. They only care about how that government affects them and only them, so they choose the one that offers lower taxes and free enterprise. They choose the one that supports gun rights and the one that decided to politicize religion. It's typically only when they feel that that regime didn't keep their promises a shift  focus.

Only start paying attention to politics this election? Americans have been dining on Fox's vision of the world for over a decade. We got confirmation of how much of Trump's hate people were willing to accept four years ago. It's disgusting, but this isn't a new revelation. What's mystifying to me is how so many of my fellow liberals are surprised it's this close. I got into a conversation with these 30ish German guys who worked for a tech firm that did a bunch of development in the US. Since they were German, they had like 8 weeks of vacation. They were interested to know my take on politics and whether I liked Trump.
